Contact The City

Phone, write letters, postcards, emails to Mayor Faulconer and the members of the City Council (Contact information is at the bottom of the page). Here are some positive points to make when writing about the Regents Road Bridge Project:

1) The Regents Road Bridge Will  Provide:

  • A parallel route to Genesee, doubling capacity for emergency vehicle access and residents travelling north-south.
  • A much needed emergency evacuation route for all residents.
  • Community balance – traffic shared between Regents Road and Genesee.
  • In addition to four new north-south vehicle lanes — 2 in each direction — the bridge will provide bike lanes and sidewalks that will improve safety and provide better opportunities for multimodal transportation for pedestrians, disabled people, and bicyclists including a safe crossing over the railroad tracks.
  • Shorter routes to UCSD, Torrey Pines Mesa, hospitals, medical centers and businesses.Saves time, gasoline, causing less pollution.
  • The bridge will provide a spectacular scenic viewpoint that all regional residents and visitors can enjoy.

2) The Bridge is a vital link in the City’s infrastructure.

3) Construction work on the Regents Road Bridge will NOT impede traffic on Genesee Ave. or require condemnation of any private property.

4) The Bridge will not harm any plant or animal life as experience has shown on other bridge projects.
